Dinner: 6:00 p.m.
Movie: 7:00 p.m.
As a prelude and fundraiser to our play, Rashomon, and in collaboration with The Onyx Downtown at the Nevada Theatre, we are showing the acclaimed 1950’s movie by Akira Kurosawa on Wednesday, March 18, 7:00 p.m, starring Toshirô Mifune, Machiko Kyô, Masayuki Mori, and Takashi Shimura. It is promoted as a “Bento Box Dinner and Movie”. Buy your Bento Box outside from Kaliko’s Hawaiian Kitchen food truck parked in front of the Nevada Theatre at 6:00 p.m. and enjoy your dinner inside the Theatre. Concessions will also be sold.
Advance tickets to the movie will be sold by The Onyx beginning in early 2026 through their website at https://www.theonyxtheatre.com. Tickets will also be available at the door.
A Japanese sword fight demonstration will take place before the movie, followed by a brief talk after the movie with director Sonny Alforque, who will discuss the difference between the 1950’s movie and our play. See the movie to “wet your appetite” for CATS’ upcoming play from April 23 – May 16, at the Nevada Theatre.
